Jesus Christ of Nazareth
is the true, living, and ever-present leader of The Well.
17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. (Colossians 1:7-18)
We believe in the authority of the body of Christ
and the priesthood of all believers.
“9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)

Pastor - Elders
Scripture uses the terms elder, pastor, bishop, and overseer synonymously. The pastor-elders are model apprentices who are called by God and affirmed by the body on the basis of their maturity and Christ-like character. We pursue a plurality of pastor-elders sharing the leadership, as it is not only Biblical but also best for the spiritual health of both leaders and the whole church.
